Birds shmirds!

So this chirping bird I mentioned a few days ago, turned out to be a most annoying cheeky bastard: His favorite spot to 'chirp' really loud (must be a tenor!) is right on our AC outside our bedroom window, and at 6 AM sharp! And don't get me wrong, my husband and I LOVE animals, we adore anything living and cute. Still, getting a wake up call at 6 AM is not what we wished for when we bought a co-op with trees all around it.
So hubbs got up, found a hollow broomstick handle, and now his favorite thing to do is to put little pasta shells inside this handle and with his breath shoot it at the bird! I gotta try it tomorrow morning myself! :)

ROTFL!!! :-D
Yesterday I discovered that seagulls (yes, seagulls in Rome!) like to have parties right above my tiny flat's building ... I went all "ooooh, look!" for the first 5 minutes, then got bored and realised they're really, REALLY annoying (I reckn seagulls are all tenors, too.).

You might want to try: a plastic water gun! ( and it's good fun for hot summer days ...) :)

Perhaps he is a cousin of someone you know from Curtis... ;-D

P.S. I start modern Hebrew class next week! Will need someone to correct my homework!

Oohh, I think we should *all* take up a gossip language! (but Hebrew is pretty popular I am afraid...) :)

I'll have to learn that one, too, then. Oh, well, I just have to get off the bus a stop earlier and ring the temple, actually, it's on my way home from work...
;-)
Otherways, we could all learn Finnish: Bob posted a link to a Finnish radio with loadsa nice old mp3s in archive, I've been downloading just about EVERYTHING in the past 2 hours (Titta Ruffo! Ezio Pinza!!! Yay!!!!), and each mp3 has an explicative introduction...in Finnish, of course. I don't get a single word out of it, bar singer's name and title of the aria...
:-D
